This page is a work archive of the Galerie Blickensdorff and showes some recent exhibition activities of the artists as well.

The Gallery Blickensdorff was founded in 1996 and existed until August 2007. The gallery took part in art fairs like ARCO /Madrid and ART COLOGNE, published catalogues and realised art projects in the public space.
Conceptional, „photo connected art“ was the direction which the gallery followed.
Several art projects in the public space have been realised.
The use of forms of presentation, media and materials such as Ilfojet printing on aluminiumfoil, DiaSec, light boxes, video art and the ensuing reevaluation of painting drawing and photographic techniques which combined with the artists search for contemporary means of expression, formed the basis of the gallerys program. The Gallery Blickensdorff had committed herself to the support of young international talents. The gallery was situated at number 65 Auguststraße, 10117 Berlin-Mitte.

From September 2007 to June 2008 the project FIELD worked in Auguststrasse 65.
FIELD is a curated project (run by Hannah Beck-Mannagetta,
Barbara Blickensdorff and Sven Schuch
) for contemporary visual arts and a critical, interdisciplinary discourse between the various media of the visual arts, performance, cultural studies and medical/academic research in the areas of movement, the body, perception and society.
Beginning in September 2007 until June 2008 the curators’ space at Auguststraße 65 gave emerging artists working on the subject of the human body the opportunity to present their work to the public in a wide range of artistic media (painting, sculpture, installation, photography, video and performance) in solo and group exhibitions. From September 2008 FIELD continues his work as a free curators team.
